Church Camp

First Church in Batesville is hosting a summer church camp in June. Some family’s with more than one child cannot afford the cost. The fee is $185 per child. Road Closing

Brushy Road at South Side in Indep. County is closed to traffic Mon-Thurs between the hours of 9am & 3pm due to major road repairs.

 

River City Cruisers Car Club will host the Cars and Coffee event in Batesville. Come join us for car talk, and enjoy seeing interesting vehicles while sipping coffee. We meet at Burger King 2248 Harrison St. every 3rd Saturday morning of the month at 8 am, April through October. The only exception is September 16 when we will be at the Batesville Riverside Park for the River City Cruisers Car Show in conjunction with The 74th White River Water Carnival. Fayetteville Shale Scholarship Bass Tournament on Greers Ferry Lake, April 21st & 22nd

This will take place at Devil’s Fork Park @ the Tournament weigh-in Facility. Friday April 21st: Check In-3pm, Dinner-5pm. Sat. April 22nd: Breakfast& Check in-4:30am-5:30am Start-6am $1,000 up for grabs. In addition, Fayetteville Scholarship Fund has partnered with the Arkansas Youth Fishing Assoc. to provide $20,000 3in scholarships to the winner’s of the High School Fishing division through the University of Arkansas Community College of Morrilton. All girls can experience Girl Scout Camp @ Scouting U

This event will be May 5-7 at Camp Crossed Arrows in Floral, AR. This is a great way for girls to experience Girl Scout camp before summer camp begins! Girls have the option to camp over the weekend or attending Saturday events only. There will be a variety of badge sessions for the girls to choose from. Those attending the Saturday only workshop will have a chance to earn up to two badges. Lunch will be served for all attendees on Saturday. This event is open to Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior & Ambassador Girl Scouts. Girls who are not yet Girl Scouts can experience camp as well! Registration deadline is April 26th. ACT Preparation Boot Camp

UACCB is partnering with John Baylor Prep to provide an ACT preparation boot camp. The camp will be from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day May 30th-June 1st & June 6th-June 8th @ UACCB. There is an optional 90 minute review day scheduled for 10 a.m. June 9th. The cost for the camp is $60. Need-based scholarships are available to reduce the cost of the camp to those who qualify. Deadline register is May 19th. Student’s planning to take the ACT June 10th must register with ACT by May 5 or May 19th with added fees. 30th Annual Springfest

Swing into spring with a weekend stay in the spectacular Heber Springs for the 30th Annual Springfest. This free festival packed top to bottom with great family fun, starting at noon on Friday and continuing all day Saturday. Festival home base is Spring Park, with additional events throughout the city of Heber Springs.
